This letter is to notify parents and teachers that Chinese Cultural School starts the Election process for new Board members and PTA President on Monday, November 2^nd, 2009. 1) Name

2) Please indicate if you are interested for becoming a Board member or PTA position

3) Connection to CCS

4) General personal information/background

5) Your perspective and plans for CCS’s future

The deadline to submit the application is Sunday, November 15^th, 2009.

The responsibilities of the Board members are:

1) Providing principals, directions and high-level decisions of CCS school affairs operations

2) Providing strategic development directions of CCS educational activities

3) Providing resource directions for CCS future developments

4) Providing or organizing fund raising for CCS

5) Overseeing and monitoring of over all school operation and administration.

6) Nomination, interview and recruitment including dismissal of Principal.

7) Communication with school staff and PTA. Executive Board of Directors members are to attend the monthly school affairs meeting.

The responsibilities of the PTA President are:

1) Provide support to the school administration

2) Represent the parents and teachers at Board meetings

3) Help raise money for the school

4) Plan and coordinate events for the school such as Chinese New Year, End of School Year Party and School Graduation
